Amanpuri Phuket
Located on Phuket's west coast, Amanpuri lies on a sheltered headland overlooking the Andaman Sea. Aman’s flagship property, the resort offers 40 spacious Thai-styled guest Pavilions and 40 Residences discretely spaced across a coconut grove. At the foot of a sweeping stone stairway lies the white crescent of Pansea Beach.
Meaning 'peaceful place', Amanpuri exudes all the grace of its design inspiration, Thailand’s ancient capital Ayutthaya. At the resort’s heart is a sleek, 27-metre swimming pool, surrounded by a stone terrace and several dining venues.
Overlooking the main pool are Amanpuri's Thai Restaurant and Italian venue Arva – the former offering the original Aman dining experience of authentic flavours, expertly prepared; the latter creating bold, heart-warming dishes inspired by Italy's cucina povera tradition. While the Bar provides poolside drinks and snacks, a walk-in wine room features more than 200 varieties from world-class producers. Latin American-style cocktails and streetfood are highlights of the South American Lounge, with Japanese dining in its purest, most enticing form showcased at destination venue Nama.
Down on the shore, the Beach Club features a poolside lounge and bar, with Mediterranean lunches served seasonally from the live grill and wood-fired pizza oven. From here, guests can take advantage of a host of water sports, or head further afield with an Amancruises charter – ideal for daytrips to secluded beaches and neighbouring islands.
Amanpuri’s Aman Spa offers an extensive menu of massage and beauty treatments that can be enjoyed in six twin treatment rooms. Each features a private steam room and an open-air relaxation deck. High on the hillside, panoramic views unfold from the open teakwood yoga and meditation salas, and the glass-fronted gym and Pilates studio. Guests can arrange private personal training, Pilates and Power Plate classes, and cool off at the raw-juice bar on the gym's first floor.
