Colombia is a transcontinental country located in the northwest of South America, with territories in Central America, and is officially known as the Republic of Colombia. It shares its border with Panama to the northwest, Brazil and Venezuela to the east, Ecuador and Peru to the south. It is distinguished for being the only South American country sharing coastal boundaries with the Caribbean Sea and North Pacific Ocean.
Leading the list of tourist attractions in the country is the stunning Caño Cristales River. It is a unique natural wonder owing to its unusual combination of beautiful colors like blue, yellow, green, black and particularly the red color from the sub-aquatic plant called Macarenia Clavigera.
